On-Foot Look at the Union x Nike Dunk Low "Midnight Navy"
Chris Gibbs and the Swoosh have some heat in the pipeline for 2022.
There’s a fleet of streetwear brands and boutiques that have linked up with Nike in recent memory to reimagine the ever classic Dunk, and in 2022, Union is going to get its opportunity to do the same. The well-respected boutique is confirmed to be releasing a duo of new colorways, one being this Union x Nike Dunk Low “Midnight Navy.”
Chris Gibbs — the owner of the LA-based retailer — and his team have employed a flight-inspired motif to this forthcoming collab. Gone is the traditional smooth leather upper build, and in comes white gridded patterns that cover the whole base. A pastel green tone is responsible for wrapping the toe boxes, quarters and collars while dusted “Midnight Blue” makes its way onto the overlays and interior lining. Additionally, the Swooshes and heel overlays have been spruced up with metallic silver outers and and slightly frayed heel stitchings for added flair. A yellow Union LA tab is fastened to the lateral quarter panels and its signature Frontman emblem arrives on the lateral heels and left shoe’s insole.
The rumor mill says that these are dropping in April 2022, but Nike and Union haven’t announced anything official just yet. Moreover, GOAT has inventory of early pairs if you want to get your hands on a pair now.
