Taco Bell’s Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco Is Officially Making Its Debut Nationwide
Igniting the debate of whether or not it is truly a sandwich or a taco.

Taco Bell‘s Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco is officially making its long-awaited national debut in the beginning of September.
Taco Bell is ready to ignite the debate of whether or not the new chicken innovation falls under the category of taco or sandwich. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco features the restaurant chain’s signature all-white meat crispy chicken marinated in jalapeno buttermilk for an extra kick. The chicken is then seasoned with bold Mexican spices and rolled in a crunch tortilla chip coating. The freshly fried chicken is served on a warm soft flatbread shaped in an iconic taco form. The classic creamy chipotle sauce is drizzled on top as a finishing touch. Those who want that extra spice can opot for crunch jalapeno slices.
To truly determine the correct answer, Taco Bell is enlisting some of the best and the brightest across the country to weigh in. Starting on September 4, Taco Bell will use two real college debate teams from the University of Georgia and Clemson University to go head to head to debate whether or not it is a sandwich or a taco. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco will be available nationwide starting September 2.
