Prince and Reebok Ready Miami-Inspired Collection of Sneakers and Sportswear
Club Cs and matching apparel, presented in flamboyant fluorescent tones.
Tennis company Prince and Reebok have joined forces for a flamboyant, fluorescent collection of sneakers and sportswear inspired by Miami. Consisting of new takes on the Club C 85 and Club C Revenge — each accompanied by matching apparel — the gender-fluid offerings are equal parts sport and street, with a unique flair that’s unquestionably Miami.
The collection’s Club Cs use white, bright cobalt, green, yellow, rose, teal and chalk, drawing from archival Prince shades and the signature tones of Miami Beach in equal measures. Two designs are vibrant while two are much more laid-back, but each uses its bright tones to maximum effect and features a special Prince spellout that’s visible under the translucent outsole. The footwear collection is also accompanied by jackets, polo shirts, long sleeve shirts, T-shirts, and shorts.
“Prince and Reebok have a great synergy. They are both modern sportswear and lifestyle brands, with an authentic link to the old school throwback days of tennis,” says David Grutman, Prince’s creative director and co-founder of Miami’s Goodtime Hotel with Pharrell. “Everything about [the overlap between Prince and Reebok] made sense from a personal standpoint, and it has been fun to work with the Reebok team on creating this collab.”
Select styles from the Prince x Reebok collection will be available on the Reebok webstore come September 10, with prices ranging from $55-$100 USD.
