Collaborations appear to be more desired when it comes to the boatload of footwear launches that occur every month, and this certainly isn’t an area where Dr. Martens is lacking. This season, we’ve seen the UK imprint take on a wide array of partnerships with the likes of JJJJound, atmos, Suicoke and more, and now it’s tapping A-COLD-WALL* for a new 1461 “Graphite” collaboration. This is the second occasion that these brands have linked together — the first being in July 2020 for a stark black 1460.
Like its inaugural team-up, this newest offering focuses on functionality and minimalism. The low-slung boot comes prepared with smooth leather uppers that are flooded with a “Graphite” hue. The overlays have been slightly modified from its original aesthetic and arrive with sharper cuts along the mid-foot and heels to provide a more technical-inspired look that aligns with the A-COLD-WALL* aesthetic. Additionally, Samuel Ross decides to follow the same cadence as the aforementioned 1460 collab by stripping away the laces and inserting a zippered closure down the throat and adding a debossed “ACW” hit on the lateral heel. Down below, the semi-chunky sole unit contrasts with an all-black exterior.
You can find a closer look up above and note that these will be dropping via A-COLD-WALL* come September 2.
