ASICS Serves Up Its GEL-LYTE III in a "Sunflower/Carrier Grey" Colorway
The early 90s runner gets whipped up with a Summer-appropriate palette.

When evaluating all of the sneaker releases that ASICS has conducted throughout the course of 2021, the GEL-LYTE III has definitely been of its most popular and prolific offerings. It’s been reimagined by several entities such as Shop Nice Kicks, Concepts, SVD and more, as well as rolled out a vast array of inline colorways. Now, its latter catalog has increased with a brand new ‘Sunflower/Carrier Grey” colorway.
While most of materials on this latest piece skew to the grayscale side of the spectrum, it’s the vivid accents that do most of the heavy lifting. A “Sunflower” yellow tone drips over the suede overlays towards the front, mudguards, interior lining and the heel overlays/branding. Breathable mesh fabrics that forge the base are left colorless, and come contrasted with “Carrier Grey” tiger stripes and lighter grey suede overlays that are situated near the throat. As usual, “GEL-LYTE III” is written out on the lateral heels, and in this instance it comes dialed to a lighter grey hue. Subtle pops of black are tossed onto the front of the outsoles and lower heel molds.
In case you wanted to scoop up a pair, you can cop them right now via select retailers like Sneaker Politics for $110 USD.
In case you missed it, ASICS just uncovered a collaborative GEL-Fratelli with Kiko Kostadinov and Brain Dead.
