Nice Kicks and ASICS Scoop Up an Ice Cream-Inspired GEL-Lyte III Collaboration
Serving up sugary Spumoni vibes for the Summer.

It’s been a crazy year for Nice Kicks so far on the sneaker collaborations front as the retailer has already teamed up with New Balance and Amoeba Music, Suicoke and adidas. And with the Summer season quickly approaching, it’s looking to simultaneously satisfy your sweet tooth and cravings for new kicks with this brand new ice cream-inspired ASICS GEL-Lyte III collaboration.
Judging by the looks of its gelato-esque color palette, it’s likely that Nice Kicks and the Japanese sportswear entity drew inspiration from Spumoni — a tri-flavored ice cream that tends to bear nuts and candied fruit. An “Ivory” hue dresses up the foundational layers of the base which alternate between leather toe boxes and mesh quarters, as well as the tiger stripes and shaggy suede overlays. Chocolate-y brown accents are embedded into the interior lining, heightened heel overlays and lower rear molds, and the shoe strings contrast with a minty green. On the back end, a tonal Nice Kicks logo is embossed and comes surrounded by a strawberry-like pink. Speckled wallpaper is found towards the middle of the midsoles, and the treading features a three panel aesthetic that mimics the aesthetic of the aforementioned dessert.
If interested, you can cop these via Nice Kicks right now for $130 USD.
