Nike and its cannabis-themed SB Dunk High “Strawberry Cough” was first previewed back in 2020, and like an unsatisfied Hinge date, it essentially just ghosted the sneaker community and left us with the assumption that an official drop was just never going to see the light of day. However, nearly a year later, the 4/20-inspired kicks have now resurfaced into our midst by way of official imagery.

Desgined by Todd Bratrud — the artist responsible for crafting the SB Dunk High “Skunk” and the SB Dunk Mid “White Widow” — the high-cut sneakers are predominantly formed with red leather that features smooth textures on the toe boxes and seed-like bumps on the forefoot and quarters. As you move towards the rear end of the shoes, one will notice that the Swooshes, collars and heel overlays have been treated with a shaggy, marijuana-esque green suede. A strawberry icon is stationed on the lateral heels and is contrasted with “cough cough” lettering in white. Additional details to call out include that of the translucent outsoles and the insoles which also bear the aforementioned fruit character.

There’s still no confirmation as to when these will hit stores, or if they will at all, but check out a detailed look at the pair above in the meantime.
