For Manchester City‘s 2021/22 home kit, PUMA has taken inspiration from an important moment in the club’s recent history. The design of the kit is a nod to the so-called 93.20 goal at the end of 2011/12, which saw Sergio Aguero score a last minute winner on the last day of the season to make Manchester City champions for the first time since 1967/68.

Celebrating this iconic and important goal, the home jersey features a striking all-over repeated graphic of a digital clock. This print — a tribute to the players who won that title and the last-minute goal — sits atop Manchester City’s classic sky blue colors, which is complemented by sky blue shorts and hooped socks.

Launching the kit, former Manchester City player Micah Richards discussed the importance of the goal. “Witnessing that moment is something I will never forget. When the goal went in, we knew we had just seen greatness, something special. The league was hanging in the balance and then to secure it in the final minute, in that fashion, I don’t think will ever be replicated. The new kit is a perfect tribute to one of the greatest moments in City’s history.”

The new Manchester City kit is available now from the PUMA web store and Manchester City web store, as well as physical stores and select retailers.
