Avant Arte Joins WOAW Gallery For a "Works on Paper" Exhibition
50 original works from 24 artists.
WOAW Gallery is hosting a joint exhibition with Avant Arte titled “WoP” — Works on Paper.
The show itself will see close to 50 original works from 24 artists from around the globe. Set to be Avant Arte’s first show in Asia, the eclectic show highlights each artists’ disparate experiences under lockdown. With the brief requesting for the submission of original works created in the preceding year, the works show a dedication during fervent times, while at the same time, capture the immediacy of works on paper.
The artists featured arrive as the likes of James Jean, Stickymonger, Matt McCormick, Roby Dwi Antono, Felix Treadwell, Tsai-Ling Tseng, and Adam Handler, to name a few. There will also be sculpture editions from Alake Shilling, Hebru Brantley, and Joakim Ojanen. WOAW Gallery founder Kevin Poon comments, “I have been a personal fan of Avant Arte for a long time now — especially of what Christian & Curtis have created, not only on the media side but also their synergies with artists as well as their creations — so to be bringing this energy to Hong Kong is a great feeling! Looking forward to doing more together and combining our worlds.”
Those in Hong Kong can check out the WOAW Gallery x Avante Arte “WoP exhibition from June 18 – July 7.
