Grand Collection's Latest Capsule Highlights Tie Between Jazz and Skateboarding
Featuring a skate video with Grand team riders Brian Reid and Danny Dipalo.

Back with its latest capsule collection, New York-based Grand Collection has put together a concise selection that highlights the tie between skateboarding and historic jazz music that comes from the city.
“Jazz is spontaneous and improvised. There’s an energy and freedom to it. You don’t know where the music is going to go.” said Grand Collection founder, Ben Oleynik. “That’s what it feels like skateboarding in New York. It isn’t planned, you just go out into the streets and skate whatever you come across. You never know where this city will take you.”
Featuring three heavyweight crewneck sweatshirts, each piece is dressed with detailed satin stitch embroideries of iconic jazz instruments. The intricate graphic displays of a saxophone, a trumpet and a grand piano serve to celebrate the flowing energy of the genre of music. The selection of crewnecks is also accompanied by matching printed graphic T-shirts in black, navy and white.
Check out the capsule above and shop the range now on Grand Collection’s website. To celebrate the release, Grand Collection has also delivered a new skate video starring Grand team riders Brian Reid and Danny Dipalo shredding through New York.
