Apple TV+ Teases Release of 'The Shrink Next Door' Starring Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd
The dark comedy mini-series is set to premiere on November 12.
Announced back in 2020, Apple TV+ has dropped a trailer for the dark comedy mini-series The Shrink Next Door, reuniting Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd who co-starred in Anchorman.
The series goes off of true events from the 2019 podcast of the same name, which centers on a renowned psychiatrist Dr. Ike Herschkopf (Rudd) as he lodges himself into the life of his patient Marty Markowitz (Ferrell). The podcast-turned series developed by directors Michael Showalter and Jesse Peretz takes a dive into the two characters as they develop a co-dependent relationship that spirals down over the years with the psychiatrist influencing his patient’s every decision down to his bank account and family relationships.
The duo is met with cast members such as Kathryn Han playing Marty’s younger sister and Casey Wilson as Dr. Ike’s wife Bonnie.
The Shrink Next Door is set to hit Apple TV+ screens on November 12.
