Grado Updates Its Classic Headphones With All-New X Driver
The 44mm driver is the brand’s fourth one since 1991.
For those with an affinity to premium audio and wired headphones, Grado has now updated its Prestige Series with its newest driver.
Named the X Driver, the new creation is the Brooklyn-based company’s fourth generation of speaker drivers since its foundation in 1991, and the product of several years of research and development. The 44mm driver uses a strengthened magnetic circuit, a newly-designed diaphragm, as well as a voice coil with decreased effective mass to provide premium audio, and can be found on the company’s SR60X, SR80X, SR125X, SR225X and SR325X. All models also received improved cables and thicker faux-leather headbands for more comfortable listening experience.
Grado’s new X Driver-equipped headphones are now available over on 4OurEars, with prices ranging from $99 USD to $295 USD. You can also head over to Grado’s website to learn more.
