Detroit Pistons Win No. 1 Overall 2021 NBA Draft Lottery
Cavaliers and Raptors find themselves in the top four for overall pick.
Detroit Pistons have officially won the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery pick. This marks only the third time in franchise history that the Pistons have received the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft. Winning the NBA Draft Lottery, many have speculated that Cade Cunningham will be the Motor City’s first pick.
The Houston Rockets come in second for the draft picks with the Cleveland Cavaliers picking third, Toronto Raptors fourth and Orlando Magic rounding out the top five spot. The Raptors landed in an exceptionally good spot, after a difficult season of injuries and playing in Tampa, Florida as their homecourt. Minnesota Timberwolves sent its first-round pick to the Golden State Warriors in the D’Angelo Russell and Andrew Wiggins trade. The Warriors now have two lottery selections.
The 2021 NBA Draft is set to take place on July 29. Now, with a little over a month away, teams can begin to lock in their draft preparations for the next season.
