UNDEFEATED Reveals New Nike Dunk Low Collaboration
As part of its McLaren ASMP #7 car project for the Indy 500.
UNDEFEATED‘s familiar Five Strike logo will be seen on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this year, as the brand worked with McLaren for a custom wrap on the ASMP #7 car — and, in honor of its latest foray into motorsports, the LA-based outfit has also reunited with Nike for a new Dunk Low. Spotted on the feet of co-founder James Bond in the video above, UNDEFEATED’s latest go-around with the Dunk features similar detailing to its Air Force 1 Low “Canteen” from 2006. Per a report from Sneaker News, this is part of a larger Nike Sportswear initiative as well: one that swaps familiar Air Force 1 and Dunk colorways to the opposing model for a dash of “alternate history.”
Channeling Bond’s eye for military-inspired designs, the Dunk in question boasts a brown and white houndstooth-patterned mudguard and eyestays plus plain brown textile quarters and toeboxes, each rimmed by thick brown leather piping. More brown leather is used on the heel and collar, a yellow Swoosh adds in a dash of vibrance and a white Five Strike logo on the lateral heel brings more branded flair into play. Nike spellouts on the heel tab, brown laces, white midsoles and brown outsoles round off the look.
Get a thorough look at the Dunk and UNDEFEATED’s masterful tiger camo-covered McLaren race car in the video above, and expect a release to occur sometime in June.
