FC Bayern Munich’s 2021/22 Away Kit Is a Tribute to the Bavarian Capital
Featuring “Münchner Kindl”, an emblematic figure of the city.
After clinching its ninth straight Bundesliga title earlier this month, FC Bayern Munich has today unveiled its new adidas away jersey for the upcoming 2021/22 season as it bids to make it ten titles on the spin.
Described as a tribute to the city of Munich, the new design features pops of gold on a predominantly black jersey. The gold continues to the club crest, lettering and numbers, through to the sponsor logos and epochal adidas shoulder stripes, while fine white detailing stretches across the chest to create a subtle diamond look.
“Münchner Kindl” — which translates to “Munich’s Child” — can be found below the round neck collar on the reverse, and is an emblematic figure of the city of Munich, symbolizing the club’s ties to the Bavarian capital, and acting as a reminder of the German club’s ongoing success.
The new away jersey will be worn for the first time against FC Augsburg this weekend in what’s the final Bundesliga fixture of the season, and is available to buy now from both adidas and FC Bayern webstores.
