Phoebe Waller-Bridge to Reportedly Co-Star With Harrison Ford in 'Indiana Jones 5'
Supposedly taking the role of the female lead.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is reportedly joining Harrison Ford in Disney and Lucasfilm‘s Indiana Jones 5.
According to sources, the Fleabag star will be the female lead in the franchise’s upcoming installment, although her character name and background are yet to be revealed. Not a lot of information on Indiana Jones 5 has been made available, only that James Mangold will be taking over for Steven Spielberg as director — but the 74-year-old filmmaker will still be serving as a producer and “is very much involved in various elements of the film.”
The film received the green light during the Disney Investors Presentation in December 2020 and production is looking to begin this Summer 2021. The untitled installment will be the first since 2008’s Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which saw Cate Blanchett, Shia LaBeouf and Karen Allen star alongside Ford.
Waller-Bridge’s casting news arrives just a few months after it was announced that she and Donald Glover will be taking on the titular roles in Amazon’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith TV series, which is set to debut in 2022.
Stay tuned for more info. Indiana Jones 5 premieres July 29, 2022.
