'Hot Wheels Unleashed' Lets You Live Out Your Childhood Racing Dreams
Dropping a new gameplay trailer ahead of its September release.
Hot Wheels has just dropped a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming Hot Wheels Unleashed racing game, offering fans of the iconic brand a closer look at a childhood fantasy come true.
Just under three minutes long, the new clip showcases some of the high-octane action the game will be bringing later this year. You’ll get to race in some of the toy brand’s most outlandish creations along the signature orange tracks suspended in mid-air around different environments, connecting with and going through various obstacles. Similar to Mario Kart, it also seems like drifting around corners will be a big component, as it gives you a proportionate boost right when you exit the turn.
While the gameplay is already looking pretty good, it’s also important to note that the video was shot in the pre-alpha stage of the game, so there could be additional changes and improvements in the near future before its launch.
Coming to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC, Hot Wheels Unleashed is scheduled for release on September 30.
Elsewhere in gaming, Sony is planning on bringing PlayStation games to mobile platforms.
