From music to fashion and beyond, Pharrell is nothing if not an innovator. In the latest installment of HYPEBEAST‘s Tagged series, we’re exploring his “meeting” with another innovator — namely Boston Dynamics‘ $75K USD four-legged “Spot” robot dog — in a video posted to P’s Instagram on February 2, 2021.

Though the original purpose of the video was to show off Pharrell and adidas‘ collaborative NMD Hu “Cream,” the post was more than just a standard product pitch. A customized “Spot” is the star of the show, done up in a color scheme to match the “Cream” and even featuring a latticed cage atop its body that was inspired by the shoe’s signature midfoot overlay.

Apart from bringing Pharrell his shoes direct from the Billionaire Boys Club store in Miamio, “Spot” also dropped pairs off with other adidas ambassadors like Pusha T and David Beckham. Outside of robotics and famous friends, the video shows off parts of Pharrell’s $30M USD Miami mansion and his outfit, full of Cactus Plant Flea Market and HUMAN MADE pieces. On his feet are what appears to be an unreleased sneaker from the adidas Climacool line.

See the latest installment of Tagged above, and when you’re done check out prior videos in the series that star G-Dragon, Playboi Carti, Kid Cudi and Travis Scott.
