Martine Rose's SS21 Floral Pieces Are Here to Save Summer
Vintage prints meet Hawaiian design cues, samurai artwork, and branded calligraphy.
London-based designer Martine Rose debuted her Spring/Summer 2021 collection earlier this year, and now some of the season’s standout floral pieces have arrived.
Leading the pack is an oversized denim jacket in orange, which has been fitted with details such as leather-style paneling on the front and back, as well as the unavoidably bold vintage floral print that covers every inch of the jacket. Boxy and baggy in approach, this garment is finished with metal stud-fastened pockets on the chest, and pairs perfectly as a co-ord with the matching jeans.
These jeans are equally relaxed, finished in a loose cut while featuring traditional design elements such as a five-pocket layout, belt loops on the waistband, buttons, and a zip fastening. Elsewhere, Martine Rose presents two shirts fit for any Hawaiian escape, offering the shirts in brown or blue with a vintage samurai print that incorporates the brand’s calligraphy into the art.
