It’s been quite the up and down year for Victor Oladipo as and injuries have hindered him from performing on the hardwood and he’s bounced around the league from the Houston Rockets to the Miami Heat. Regardless, his Jordan Brand family is taking care of him on the footwear side of things by crafting this Air Jordan 35 ““NaYouBiko” PE — which in English translates to “My hat goes off to you.”

As suggested by the colorway’s moniker, this on-court rendition draws influence from Nigeria’s flag as this is the very country that his parents Joan Amanze Oladipo and Christopher Oladipo immigrated from. The primary colors of the kicks are white and black, the former of which covers the bases of the right foot while the latter swathes the left side. It’s the Nigerian graphics here that do most of the heavy lifting as leafy patterns that alternate between white, dark green and neon green are printed across the overlays and on the interior liners. Further neon applications are present atop the tongue tabs and lower throats which host “23” branding. Moreover, the aggressive Eclipse plates that are shanked into the midsole each match up in black.
