Apple Announces Spring Loaded Event on April 20 After Dropping Hints
News of the event was first leaked through Apple’s digital assistant Siri.

Apple officially announced the date of its next special event — titled “Spring Loaded” — after dropping hints through Siri.
The tech giant sent out an invitation to the event on Tuesday, though in typical Apple fashion, it provided little information about the event’s lineup.
The event will take place at Apple’s Cupertino headquarters on April 20, beginning at 10 a.m. PDT, and will be streamed online at Apple.com. The invitation featured a colorful doodle of the Apple logo.
News of the conference was first leaked through Apple’s virtual assistant Siri. MacRumors first reported on Tuesday that when Siri was asked when the next Apple event would be, Siri responded: “The special event is on Tuesday, April 20, at Apple Park in Cupertino, CA. You can get all the details on Apple.com.” MacRumors said it asked Siri about the information across multiple Apple devices.
It’s unclear what will be discussed at the April 20 event. Some have suggested that Apple might drop new iterations of its iPad and will finally release the designs for its AirPods 3, while others speculate that the company might drop its homegrown tracking device called AirTags.
Bloomberg reported on Monday that Apple is working on a device that combines an Apple TV box, HomePod speaker and a camera for video calls. Last week, Apple CEO Tim Cook teased about the possibility of an Apple car, but would not confirm whether the company was finally working on its own autonomous vehicle.
Last month, Apple revealed that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference will be held entirely online again this year from June 7 to the 11. The tagline of this year’s conference is “Glow and Behold.”
