4D and BOOST Meet On This Hybrid adidas Sneaker
The Three Stripes combines its two most notable cushioning technologies to create a bold lifestyle silhouette.
4D and BOOST are adidas‘ most prominent modern-day cushioning technologies, and they’ve been united in unique fashion on a brand-new lifestyle silhouette. Dubbed the “4D Kick” by noted sneaker leaker YankeeKicks — a name that at the time of writing has yet to be officially confirmed by adidas — this hybrid sneaker is an appealing amalgamation of Three Stripes tech that reworks two well-known systems to create a new style.
Heels are where the action is on the “4D Kick”: they’re bulbous like an UltraBOOST 21, and place a slanted sliver of black BOOST foam below a diagonal dash of latticed 4D material in “Aero Green.” This tilted assemblage presents a unique look, and stands out against the rest of the shoe’s relatively simple construction. The midsole’s forefoot is done up in simple olive foam, while the upper mixes green and black meshes with a black midfoot Three Stripe graphic and an extended heel clip. Black Continental rubber outsoles round the look off.
Alongside a name, this hybrid adidas sneaker has yet to receive an official release date or retail price. However, it’ll likely arrive later this spring or summer.
