As the vicious COVID-19 virus started to quickly scatter across the globe and force society to remain, people turned to their comfiest footwear for their work-from-home situations. Today, mules and sandals continue to be the hottest of commodities, so Reebok has decided to execute a playful, on-trend footwear initiative that entails the classic Instapump Fury being transformed into a slip-on.

Design cues from the Steven Smith-designed icon from 1994 such as the synthetic side walls and pump buttons are kept consistent. However, in order to restructure the silhouette into a sandal, the Boston-based sportswear brand creates airy openings at the toe tip, sides, and heels for more breathability and easy entry access. Beneath the base piece, the segmented midsoles are kept intact, arriving with the exact same hexagon shaped textures positioned on the heels.

Two colorways are included in this Reebok Instapump Fury Sandal’s inaugural launch, one being a “Vector Navy/Chork” colorway while the other is a brighter Chork/Sand Stone/Gold Metallic makeup, the latter of which is completed with gum treading.

Both of these women’s iterations are available to purchase now via select retailers like atmos for ¥16,000 (approx. $148 USD).

For other footwear news, HYPEBEAST recently caught up with Allen Iverson to speak about the return of his Question Mid “Why Not Us?” colorway.
