'Powerpuff Girls' Live-Action Adaptation Casts Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron and Yana Perrault
The three sisters have come to save Townsville.

After announcing a live-action adaptation of the beloved Cartoon Network series Powerpuff Girls last August, CW has finally announced the casting for its three main superhero sisters, bringing on board Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron and Yana Perrault.
Known for her role as Daisy Johnson in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Bennet will be taking on the character of Blossom, while Cameron, whose previous works include Disney Channel’s Liv and Maddie and Descendants, will portray Bubbles. Perrault, who starred on the Broadway show Jagged Little Pill, will complete the trio as Buttercup.
As for the plot of the upcoming series, the new live-action adaptation will follow the three sisters roughly two decades after they saved Townsville from threats as childhood superheroes. Now in their 20s, the three look back at their early years together with antipathy but are forced to reunite once again to save the world.
There’s currently no release date set yet for the upcoming Powerpuff Girls live-action adaptation, so those interested should stay tuned for more updates to come.
