Bucherer Adds Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe to Its Blue Exclusives
Just 188 pieces of the black ceramic watch will be produced.
Watch and jewellery retailer, Bucherer, has added to its exclusive line of models bearing the firm’s signature shade of blue, this time bringing Blancpain’s suave diver, the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe, onboard.
The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Bucherer BLUE is the second time Bucherer has worked with Blancpain, having previously developed a Bathyscaphe Chronograph in 2018.
But it’s not just Bucherer that places specific significance on cerulean, blue has long been the color of Blancpain’s Ocean Commitment programme of philanthropy.
Here the shade is used on the sunray brushed dial, ceramic bezel insert and the coating applied to the Calibre 1315 Five Day automatic movement’s 18k gold winding rotor. The blue is offset against a 43.6mm black ceramic case and bezel.
Just 188 pieces will be available exclusively via Bucherer, priced £12,300 GBP ($17,100 USD).
Elsewhere in watches, Hamilton winds back the clock with a handwound heritage-inspired chronograph.
