Under the guise that “cooler heads will always prevail”, Specialized took everything its predecessor was doing right and made it better for the S-Works Prevail II. Through a process that saw the removal of seven foam “bridges”, the helmet allows for 20% more airflow to pass through it, which results in an all-round much cooler ride.
The internal skeleton has been redesigned by the Specialized team too. The removal of the bridges from the center and the side created more effective ventilation channels, while the helmet’s internal strength was increased by utilizing robotically-spun Aramid ropes.
As if being cool wasn’t enough, the S-Works Prevail II Vent also features the MIPS SL’s minimalist “watchband” attachment system which provides ultimate brain protection. Exclusive to this helmet, the MIPS pad kit has been redesigned with perforated ripstop backing, all of which results in a helmet that offers optimal comfort, protection and performance.
Arriving in “Gloss White”, “Matte Black”, “Gloss Sand” or “Matte Maroon”, the S-Works Prevail II is available to buy now from the Specialized webstore.
