Premium audio company Bang & Olufsen is entering the gaming world for the first time with the launch of its latest Beoplay Portal wireless headphones.

Designed for the Xbox ecosystem — including the Xbox One, the Xbox Series X and the Series S — the new audio solution offers gamers a chance to experience Bang & Olufsen’s signature sound, design and craftsmanship all while enjoying their favorite games. On top of Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, the headphones boast both Adaptive Active Noise Cancelling and Transparency Mode features depending on your environmental needs.

Two custom-designed 40mm drivers with neodymium magnets provide exceptional sound quality, working in tandem with Dolby Atmos for Headphones to create virtualized surround sound, increasing your spatial awareness whether you’re in-game or watching a movie. Of course, the pair also comes equipped with an array of microphones acting as a virtual boom arm with the company’s Directional Beamforming technology, isolating and amplifying your voice while minimizing background distractions.

For those interested, Bang & Olufsen’s Beoplay Portal wireless headphones are now available for $500 USD at the company’s retail locations and website, Best Buy, and the Microsoft Store.

Elsewhere in gaming-related tech, Niantic CEO John Hanke has posted a teaser of the company’s upcoming AR headset.
