The latest athlete to bite the NFT bullet is UFC superstar Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The Russian MMA fighter released a video announcing his official unique digital cards collection. The cards come in three series titled gold, platinum and diamond. The gold and platinum digital cards are set to be issued as limited series while the unique diamond card will be a unique, one-off card. The announcement mentions that any unsold cards in the gold and platinum category will be burnt, increasing the supply scarcity for the NFTs. The digital cards are expected to commemorate Khabib’s retirement as an MMA fighter.

Fans can expect a maximum of 290 cards within the gold series. The NFTs will also feature unlockable content that only be exclusively available to its respective card owner. There will only be 29 cards within the platinum category, and the lucky owners are to receive a personal price from the UFC star. Finally, the diamond card is a one-off digital card, which comes with the opportunity to meet the fighter in person.

The NFTs go on sale starting in April 2021. Check out the official announcement either above or below.
