Announced as part of the major moment of Air Max Day 2021, we now have a closer look at the CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “K.O.D. CHA.” Serving as the follow-up to the recent 2021 Nike Air Max 1 “K.O.D.” release, the alternate colorway is based on a “K.O.D.” sample from 2006. Centered around tones of brown, the upcoming release is inspired by seven necessities of Chinese life, drinking tea. More specifically the act of enjoying tea following a session of traditional Chinese reflexology treatment to round up the refresh of the body and soul. The revived element of CLOT history named after the transliteration of tea in Chinese serves as founders Edison Chen and Kevin Poon‘s latest effort to bridge the East and the West.

This time around the upper is constructed of contrasting “Rocky Tan” suede textures accented by “Sport Red” Swooshes and a transparent toebox. Revealed by the toebox are reflexology print insoles that continue the “K.O.D.” theme. Additional detailing comes in the form of red CLOT embroidery at the heel, Nike Sportswear marked matching tongues and bright red top eyelets. Finally, elevating the shoe are brown midsoles with red Air units at the heel and a translucent icy outsole obscuring a colorful foot reflexology map.

Priced at $1,099 HKD/¥1,099 RMB/$4,900 NTD (approximately $170 USD), the Nike Air Max 1 “K.O.D. CHA” stay tuned for an official release through JUICE locations.
