'Apex Legends' To Arrive on Nintendo Switch in March 2021
Switch owners can team up with others through cross-platform play.

Game developer Respawn Entertainment officially announced the launch date of Apex Legends for Nintendo Swtich. Previous leaks suggested that the port would come out on February 2, however, the Apex Legends team took to social media to reveal that the game will launch on March 9 instead.
The renowned studio, also known for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Titanfall, has also confirmed that the game will support cross-platform play. This would allow Switch users to extend team-play with or compete against those using Xbox, PC, or PlayStation hardware. The developer continues to promise “full feature parity”, reassuring that it is not expected to cause any major differences to the visuals.
For this particular project, Respawn has worked together with Panic Button to develop the project. Apex Legends game director, Chad Grenier said in a statement, “Porting Apex Legends to its smallest screen yet is a major achievement, and we couldn’t have done it without our friends at Panic Button. We’re very proud of what the team has been able to achieve with some smart optimizations for the Switch port to deliver a full-featured Apex Legends experience on the go.”
We’re proud to announce that Apex Legends launches on Nintendo Switch on March 9th, 2021.
