Earlier this week, Louis Vuitton showcased Virgil Abloh‘s Spring/Summer 2022 collection in Miami. The show gathered many of Abloh’s peers and colleagues from all over to watch his final runway presentation. Since his death, many have paid tribute to the influential designer and has been hailed as a changemaker of this generation.

Many high profile names including long-time collaborator Kanye West, Pharrell, Kim Kardashian West, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Gunna and Jerry Lorenzo attended the Miami Louis Vuitton “Virgil Was Here” SS22 showcase. Walking the runway were two out of three of the Migos group Quavo and Offset, as well as Kid Cudi. Cudi recently took to Twitter to share his final conversation with the designer, revealing that he had messaged Abloh about what color to dye his hair so it would match his fit for the runway. He also wrote, “Our last text was Saturday morning. Im glad I got to tell u how I felt about u. Im happy u didnt leave here not knowing. I love you Virg FOREVER”

Quavo sported a head-to-tie glistening silver ensemble as well as a face covering in Abloh’s Louis Vuitton black-and-white checkered pattern. As an accessory, he carried an oversized silver chest in hand as he made his way down the runway. Offset wore a royal blue-colored tracksuit and a matching top hat, black turtleneck and chains. Kid Cudi’s look saw the Man on the Moon rapper in lime green head-to-toe. His hair color matched his ombré green ensemble as he walked down the runway in a relaxed green fleece. Cudi’s appearance on the Louis Vuitton runway was symbolic as he walked in both Abloh’s first and last shows. He later performed “Moon” at the post-show concert.
