Sneaker culture and collaborations go hand-in-hand, and as the year draws to a close, 2021 has certainly kept Reebok busy in that realm. Filled with exclusive iterations of their most classic silhouettes, some of the hottest brands have revisited, and in some cases deconstructed, its iconic sneakers creating unique pieces of footwear that are out of the ordinary.

From BEAMS’ laceless Club C Mule to Maison Margiela’s gladiator-inspired Tabi HYPEBEAST recaps and breaks down some of the best drops from 2021.

Maison Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather

As one of the most surprising and sought-after collaborations of 2021, Maison Margiela continues to transpose its signature Tabi toe onto iconic Reebok silhouettes, giving them a luxury finish. Inspired by gladiator sandals, the high-top sneaker’s exposed midfoot adopts the house’s deconstructed decortiqué ethos merging high-fashion and sportswear. Arriving in four colorways including the bold Bianchetto: a black base with hand-painted white details designed to fade with wear, this version of the Classic Leather sneaker is built to stand out.

BEAMS x Reebok Club C

Stripping back the Club C to its bare necessities, Japanese retailer BEAMS reinvents the classic sneaker into a relaxed laceless mule. Delivered in a simple all-white colorway, “Cold Grey” accents on the co-branded tongue as well as insole give this silhouette character.

Billionaire Boys Club x Reebok Instapump Fury BOOST

Continuing the long-standing partnership, Billionaire Boys Club reunites with the sportswear brand to deliver its first-ever take on the Instapump Fury BOOST sneaker. Inspired by nature, the silhouette is infused with high-performance Cordura uppers as well as reflective 3M. The iconic helmet emblem is seen on the Pump button with the insole getting a galaxy makeover keeping to the brand’s astronaut aesthetic.

Brain Dead x Reebok Zig Kinetica II

The UFO sensibilities also spill over to this year’s Brain Dead collaboration. Inspired by Japanese Sofubi Kaiju toys, this Zig Kinetica II sneaker boasts psychedelic graphics as well as a two-toned double-stacked midsole and exclusive dual-branded logo.

STORY mfg. x Reebok Club C and Beatnik

Being the British label’s first venture into footwear, STORY mfg. brings its conscious ethos to sneakers. Opting for the Club C and Beatnik, both are constructed from entirely vegan materials with an upper crafted from a woven linen blend in undyed grey hues. Embroidered peace signs on the lateral midfoot as well as the slogan “Forage for Wisdom with STORY mfg.” adorns the tongue.

Bodega x Reebok Club C

With a working relationship that goes back to the mid-2000s, Bodega celebrated its 15th anniversary with two iterations of the classic Club C silhouette: Club C Legacy and Club C 85. Inspired by the boutique’s versatility heritage, the former features a mix of leather, suede and mesh uppers and arrives in a brown colorway with the latter sporting muted bone hues.

Pyer Moss x Reebok Experiment 4

Following the “Old White” drop of 2020, Pyer Moss fuses its footwear design language onto the Experiment 4 Fury Trail, expanding the silhouette’s range with an “Emergency” iteration. The exaggerated sneaker boasts two sole units with a grey upper with a flash of orange on the tongue, staying true to its name.

A$AP Nast x Reebok Zig Kinetica II

Being the brand’s most recent collaboration, the Zig Kinetica II returns, this time reimagined by A$AP Nast. Having first linked up in April on a Classic Leather, the rapper translates his craft onto a larger silhouette. Boasting a recycled Vibram Ecostep outer sole, the sneaker arrives in a red and black colorway in a grid-like print with bright yellow on the laces and lateral logos.
