Pyer Moss x Reebok Prepares the Experiment 4 Fury Trail in "Old White"

A muted makeover for Kerby Jean-Raymond’s usually colorful sneaker.

Pyer Moss founder Kerby Jean-Raymond was named Reebok’s Vice President of Creative Direction in September, and now his brand is following up with its latest Reebok footwear collaboration: the Experiment 4 Fury Trail in “Old White.” Essentially a beefed-up version of the Instapump Fury, the Experiment 4 Fury Trail is usually known for its bright and bold color schemes, but the “Old White” opts for a more muted look over its distinct three-layer build.

Soft grey mesh is overlaid with sharply-shaped white leather panels on the upper, with a single line of bright red stitching on each of these panels serving up contrast. Branding is mostly kept to a minimum: there’s a conceptual take on Reebok’s Vector logo present on the lateral forefoot, plus a tonal classic Vector graphic on the rubberized heel. The throat’s toggle lacing system is covered with a white rubber sheath that boasts debossed Pyer Moss and Reebok text hits. On the sides of this sheath sit airy mesh shrouds, the lateral side of which features a hand-scrawled graphic that states “We gotta leave this ground you’re walking on a little better for the kids!” above Jean-Raymond’s signature. Down below, split midsoles take on an ever-so-soft lilac shade and add DMX cushioning in the heel for comfort. Trail-ready lugged outsoles round off the look.

The Pyer Moss x Reebok Experiment 4 Fury Trail “Old White” will release on the Reebok webstore and Pyer Moss’ online shop come November 14, and is priced at $250 USD.
