New Balance Clads Its 57/40 With CORDURA and Earth Tones
This offering joins a trio of 574s as part of the All-Terrain Pack.

New Balance has given its 57/40 a CORDURA treatment for this latest offering. The Boston-based sportswear powerhouse has decked a number of its silhouettes with the durable fabric technology such as the 996 collaboration with the Japanese clothing brand Journal Standard and a trio of CM997H models.
The latest offering is part of the All-Terrain Pack with black and gray editions along with another trio of 574s as a nod to the brand’s hiking legacy. Despite the construction utilizing the woven textile, the design is made more for urban jungle treks as the uppers are equipped with a nylon base in off-white featuring an all-over branding pattern while quality suede overlays in tan wrap around the shoe with a CORDURA branding tag poking out from the lateral “N” motif outlined with white. A Blush Pink branding label embellishes the top of the tongue while a Hunter Green shade fills in the heel cap. The chunky midsole sticks with the nominal hue with a Milk Chocolate Brown mold sealed above while black details the heel counter and rubber outsole to seal it all together.
Look out for the CORDURA-dressed 57/40 to drop on New Balance’s website in the coming weeks.
In case you missed it, the New Balance 991 arrived in a clean olive and gray color scheme.
