New Balance Drops a Trio of CM997H in Muted CORDURA & Suede
Tweaking the classic 1990 silhouette.
After unveiling its SuperFabric-lined Made In USA silhouettes, New Balance has called in progressive textiles once again, this time covering a trio of 997s in protective CORDURA — the CM997H.
Adopting the original mold of the 997, which first debuted in 1990, this particular silhouette has been made lighter with an improved sole. Its lush CORDURA uppers offer added durability while presenting a delicate suede exterior in the colorways “Khaki,” “Black” and “Oyster.” Each model has been made uniformly tonal, encompassing a mix of materials from its mesh tongue and “N”-branded sidewalls to its grained leather uppers and flat laces. Packing an articulated toe, the sneakers come with a speckled midsole that provides optimal cushioning and support with each stride.
