Official Images of the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1
Inspired by the 1985 NBA All-Star Game “freeze-out,” and complete with Michael Jordan’s signature printed on the heel.

Trophy Room‘s 1985 NBA All-Star Game-inspired take on the Air Jordan 1 is one of Jordan Brand‘s most highly-anticipated releases of 2021, and ahead of its rumored February launch official images have surfaced. A nod to the purported “freeze-out” NBA legends like Julius “Dr.J” Erving and Larry Bird put on a brash rookie Michael Jordan by refusing to pass him the ball during the game, the shoe is loaded with special details and boasts a familiar red, white and black color scheme inspired by the timeless Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” — the shoe Jordan sported during the contest.
In OG “Chicago” fashion, the shoe combines white leather quarters and toeboxes with red mudguards, eyestays, heels and collar flaps. Black gets into the mix by way of Swooshes, ball-and-wings logos, collars and laces, the last of which sits atop a white nylon tongue with a red and white Nike Air tag.
Though all of this is familiar fodder for Air Jordan fanatics, there are a few notable differences as well. Michael Jordan’s signature is stamped on the lateral heel, and each piece is connected by white contrast stitching. All the red overlays have a sparkling, almost icy tint, a potential nod to the “freeze” that was put on Jordan in the game. Finishing details are provided by a sail midsole, translucent outsole with blue and red stars and a commemorative badge embroidered on the insole.
Official release details for the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 have yet to be revealed, but early reports place its arrival on February 10. However, as it was likely supposed to accompany the postponed 2021 NBA All-Star Game, this date may be pushed back.
