STARTER Brings Back Budweiser's "Bud Bowl" in 50th Anniversary Capsule
Taking in back to 1989’s Super Bowl XXII.
STARTER has just unveiled its first collaboration with Budweiser. Celebrating the athletic brand’s 50th anniversary, the STARTER name goes back to the ’70s where its name could be found in sports leagues, colleges, and Olympic sports — often associated with the phrase “wear what the pros wear.” The brand was later bought from Nike in 2007 by Iconix Brand Group.
“Starting” a new year right, STARTER will be introducing a series of collaborations with some of the world’s most well-known brands. First up is its “Bud Bowl” collection with Budweiser as a reboot of the Bud Bowl tradition that started in 1989 during Super Bowl XXII.

This first capsule will reintroduce all classic Bud Bowl graphics/artwork across a collection of T-shirts, hoodies, varsity jackets, coach jackets, and caps. Look for the collection now over at STARTER’s Black Label Store.
