Nintendo is celebrating the much-anticipated release of Monster Hunter Rise with a limited-edition Switch design. This follows the 35th-anniversary “Mario Red & Blue” Switch colorway Nintendo unveiled just two weeks ago.
The special Monster Hunter-inspired makeover is dominated by a sleek black matte finish, detailed with bright gold decals. There are plenty of Monster Hunter motifs that decorate the Switch’s set up, but the most prominent graphic is the illustration of a monster and accompanying fireballs emblazoned on the Switch port. The back of the Switch sees Shuriken motifs, complemented by a host of symbols on the back of the Joy-Cons as a finishing touch.
This special-edition Monster Hunter Rise-inspired Switch will be available on March 26 on Nintendo Japan’s website for ¥38,400 JPY (approximately $370 USD) — each Switch will come with Monster Hunter Rise pre-installed and a code for downloadable content.
In case you missed it, a free demo of Monster Hunter Rise is currently being offered on the Nintendo Switch.
