Last week, various retailers restocked the PlayStation 5 after incredible demand, but one scalper on the Internet managed to pre-order a staggering 2,000 units himself.

The scalper — who goes by the name Carnage — took to Twitter to show off about pre-ordering the PS5 consoles from U.K. retailer GAME, saying “It just gets easier every time.” Naturally, the Internet was outraged by the post, as many players tried but failed to secure pre-orders themselves. Many criticized Carnage for his actions, and expressed their dismay, one user saying “At this point [it's] not worth trying anymore” and another commenting that it’s “utter *****.”

Some users also reached out to GAME, requesting them to cancel pre-orders in the hopes of preventing scalpers like Carnage from taking advantage of the system, which prompted a company spokesperson to respond with an official statement explaining that all orders are subject to checks. “At the present time these orders are still pre-orders and as such, no payments have yet been taken from customers,” the spokesperson said. “Payments will commence once our order checks have been completed.” However, there’s no reassurance that Carnage’s orders will actually be canceled.
