ROARINGWILD Elects for Neutral Tones and Complex Shapes for SS21 "ECHO CHAMBER"
The “ECHO CHAMBER” is starting to look like a padded cell.
Chinese streetwear label ROARINGWILD has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2021 collection titled “ECHO CHAMBER.” This time around, the collection features a neutral color palette with a generous reworking of shapes and cuts.
The label exercises its knack for cutting-edge design via trench coats, casual suits, button-up shirts, and jackets — all in the shades of black, grey, and white. The stark tones are meant to mimic a sense of distancing and self-isolating in what the brand calls the “Echo Chamber,” also a term used in media where an individual’s beliefs can only be reinforced as all information is found in a closed system that’s free from criticism and opinion. This Echo Chamber begins to look like a padded cell.
This muted assemblage is accentuated with bright accessories such as pink vests, blue gloves, and further layering pieces.
