Dwyane Wade‘s Way of Wade line with Li-Ning has debuted its latest model: the high-tech Way of Wade 9. The second post-retirement silhouette Wade has released — following 2020’s Way of Wade 8 — the WoW 9 offers a high-tech construction centered around a molecular motif that was created to represent infinite possibility both on and off the basketball court.

The Way of Wade 9 arrives in two different iterations. The first is a high-top dubbed the Way of Wade Infinity that features a futuristic BOA lacing system and a sock-like construction, while the other is a lower cut with traditional laces contained within its zipped shell. Both combine Li-Ning’s proprietary Jiang material with BOOM midsole technology and an Air Jordan 35-like midfoot plate for a feel that’s forceful and responsive while remaining soft and supportive. Special details include a “Wade” spellout on the circular forefoot pieces, a large Li-Ning logo towards the heel and “Family First” split across the back of the left and right shoes.

A release date and retail price for the Way of Wade 9 has yet to be announced, but it’ll debut in the black/gray/red “Announcement” colorway and white “Balance” makeup pictured above in the coming weeks. You’ll likely be able to spot WoW athlete D’Angelo Russell of the Minnesota Timberwolves sporting a pair on NBA courts as well.
