Nike's Boisterous Dunk Low "Free.99" Is Gratis in Name Only
Despite its budget-friendly name, the brightly-colored style will still retail for $110 USD.
Nike‘s plans for the Dunk Low in 2021 are slowly coming into focus after a drop of six Nike Sportswear styles earlier in the month and the reveal of the celebratory Dunk Low “Firecracker,” and the latest piece of the puzzle to be unveiled is a colorful pair dubbed the “Free.99.” Somewhat reminiscent of the ultra-rare SB Dunk Low “eBay” from 2003, the “Free.99” supplies compelling colorblocking and boasts a special print on its insoles to boot.
Red, sky blue, mint green and yellow are placed in asymmetrical fashion — and with reckless abandon — across the mudguards, eyestays, laces, tongue tags, collar lining and more. Though each foot differs greatly in its accents, there are some similarities to be had as well: both sneakers use white leather quarters, toeboxes and heels, brown Swooshes, white midsoles and gum outsoles. Nylon tongues are slightly more poofy than most Nike Sportswear styles for an SB Dunk touch of flair, and each insole boasts sticker-like “Free.99” graphics.
Though an official release date has yet to be revealed, interested parties can expect the SB Dunk Low “Free.99” to release in the coming months for $110 USD. The drop will be accompanied by a black-based “Free.99” colorway, images of which have yet to surface.
