Nike’s classic Air Max 90 carries on the celebration of the iconic shoe designed by Tinker Hatfield. The latest model features space-inspired sketches, which appears to be Steven Harrington‘s artwork referencing Alan Shepards’s space golf moment.

The Air Max 90 Golf employs a Sail/Pink Foam/Asparagus/Newsprint colorway alongside sketches of spaceships and aliens with a hint of golf. The pink accents are located on the sneakers TPU accents, and rubber heel patch patent with Nike branding. All AM90 Gs are manufactured with waterproof material and have an integrated traction design. The foam midsole and Max Air unit in the heel provides increased cushioning.

Alan Shepard, who was in charge of the Apollo 14 mission, operated the Apollo Lunar Module Antares. During the expedition on February 6, 1971, Alan brought along golf balls and hit three of them with a custom Wilson six-iron, becoming the first person to play golf on the lunar surface.

Priced at £129.95 GBP (approximately $178 USD), the Nike Air Max 90 NRG is available on Nike’s UK site and select retailers.
