February tends to be a more decorated month for Nike as it often distributes celebratory footwear for Valentine’s Day, All-Star Weekend and Chinese New Year. And for the former, the Swoosh has an Air Max 90 “Valentine’s Day” colorway to deliver that’s packed chock-full of heart-throbbing hues and a playful message concealed on the upper.

Thanks to the ultra-crisp white leathers that compose the base layer underlays and mudguards, the surrounding rosy and heart-inspired accents are given permission to be the center of attention. A bold red tone stains the Swoosh logos, eyestays by the collar, heel branding and the tongue tabs. The latter steers from the traditional branded hit, and instead applies a snap closure which conceals a holiday-inspired message that spells out “ME+AM90=TRUE LOVE” on the left tongue and “AM90 4EVER” on the right foot. Alongside this, pastel pink envelops the suede-infused overlays, as well as the lower eye stay, sock liners and heel blocks.

Transitioning to the lower region, more rosy applications are featured across the treading’s tips as well as around the Air unit, while the rest of the midsole sees through to a white exterior. To finish things off, Nike pronounces more red hues across a majority of the outsole.

For those who fancy these love-inducing kicks, you can find them launching via Nike Japan on February 5 for ¥17,050 (approx. $164 USD).
