As the 2020/21 Premier League season draws to a close, Nike has revealed the home jersey that Chelsea will wear next season. For the upcoming season, Chelsea’s classic blue colors have been given a reworking that takes inspiration from the Op Art movement.

Sticking to the Op Art influence, the jersey is finished with a tonal blue optical illusion-inspired pattern that moves from zig zags on one side to a checkerboard pattern on the other. As well as this eye-catching print — which continues on to the shorts — Nike has added hints of yellow in the side tape and the CFC texted knitted into the back of the neck.

Constructed with a 100% recycled polyester fabric made from recycled plastic bottles, the home kit also continues Nike’s Move to Zero campaign. Speaking about the jersey, Chelsea player Mason Mount said, “I feel like the kit really represents this younger generation rising up the ranks and I love the sustainability behind it.”

Take a look at the jersey in the gallery above. The kit is available now via the Nike web store for Nike members, and will receive a wider release on May 20.
