Nike Air Force 1 "Label Maker" Is a Throwback to 1982

Moments after one special Nike Air Force 1 appears, another super interesting pair has surfaced too, this time introducing the AF1 Low “Label Maker.”

The “Label Maker” looks all the way back into Nike‘s archives and has dug out inspiration from 1982’s Nike Air Force 1 High. And there is much more to this pair than what meets the eye. It goes without saying that the most notable change is the “Label Maker” addition on the lateral rear-quarter, which adds a blue base with raised “AIR FORCE 1” branding in a white block font.

While its premium white leather upper may look unassuming, the materials are actually unfinished on the edge to show the raw quality of each panel. Elsewhere, the mid-panel has been overstitched just like the original pair was, and the Swoosh emblem is finished in silver too.

The silver tone has been used on the heel tab, where Nike adds its branding in a worn-out effect to make the pair look as if they are also from 1982. Metallic silver lace dubraes finished with “AF1” branding and crisp white laces round out the upper.

Beneath, you’ll find a white Air-filled misole and a gray outsole, which fully completes the pair’s vintage look.

Check out the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Label Maker” in the gallery above, and expect them to drop on Nike’s website and in stores in the coming months.

In other news, Converse has knitted some Chuck 70s.
