American automaker Ford has now released more details about its upcoming all-electric version of the iconic F-150, claiming that it’ll more powerful than any F-150 current offered.

While no specifics have been released regarding its performance, we can expect from the company’s claim that it’ll be more powerful than the current F-150 Raptor, which pushes out 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. It’ll utilize a dual-motor setup, and unsurprisingly boast the fastest acceleration in the pickup truck series as well.

With this release, Ford has made clear that it’s more of a vehicle for those looking for a workhorse and not just another lifestyle truck, so functionality is at its forefront. There’ll be features such as a “giant front trunk” thanks to the lack of a conventional engine, and be able to both carry “hundreds of pounds” of cargo or have “the ability to two heavy trailers.” Since it’s an EV, the automaker will be providing over-the-air updates that keep its system running as smoothly and efficiently as possible, while possibly getting additional features along the way. As an added bonus, Ford has also claimed that this all-electric F-150 will cost a staggering 40 percent less to maintain when compared to the conventional gasoline model.

There’s no specific release date for the electric truck, but Ford hopes to release it sometime in mid-2022.

Elsewhere in the automotive world, Nikola founder and executive chairman Trevor Milton has resigned from his roles.
