IKEA Museum Launches Digital Archive of Past Catalogues
Showcasing the last 70 years of interior design trends.

The IKEA Museum has launched an online archive of its signature catalogue, which has been produced every year since 1951. The Swedish furniture giant has digitized its previous catalogues to coincide with the 2020 issue, which will be available to read online, as well as through department stores and selected home delivery.
The past 70 years of catalogues show how IKEA has changed, with modern editions growing in size as the group’s range grew and the publication became an interior design magazine. This means that the archive acts as a document for changing lifestyles and tastes since 1951, with each issue showing contemporary taste in the year it was published.
The full IKEA archive can be viewed via the IKEA Museum website.
