Acne Studios has teamed up with A Magazine Curated By to release a new book that tells the story of its headquarters in Stockholm. The building, which was formally the Embassy of Czechoslovakia, is located at Floragatan 13, which gives the book its name. The book itself looks at each floor of the building, beginning with management on the sixth floor and working its way down.
Described as a “visual essay,” the 100-page book shows a range of different spaces within the building, covering everything from creative director Jonny Johansson’s office to the ground floor library, the underground library and the photo studio. Alongside the exploration of the building itself, personal anecdotes from Johansson also tell the story of the Acne Studios headquarters.
The photography in the book has been captured by Philippe Chancel, and other features include quotes from Johannes Norlander, teams from across the company and external artistic collaborators. This includes lighting designed by Benoit Lalloz, fabric collages by Daniel Silver and furniture by Max Lamb, who also discusses his stone furniture project in the building’s lobby.
Take a look at the book, which has been designed by Savvy Studio, in the gallery above. Floragatan 13 Curated By Acne Studios is available now from the A Magazine Curated By web store, and comes in an embossed envelope in matte grey card, chosen as a nod to the building’s concrete façade.
In related news, Acne Studios also recently revealed its Fall/Winter 2020 campaign featuring staff members and their pet dogs.
