adidas Football Unveils Disruptive Manchester United 2020/21 Third Kit
Reworking the stripes used by the club throughout its history.
After Nike Football revealed its latest selection of third kits for the 2020/21 season, adidas has followed up with a new jersey to be worn by Manchester United in the upcoming season. The design references stripes from Manchester United‘s history, which have appeared on various kits for over 100 years.
The 2020/21 third kit features a striped design that has been reinterpreted by adidas, using elements from different jerseys from throughout the club’s history to create a new pattern. The resulting pattern is reminiscent of the disruptive graphics used by the military, with a white and black color scheme of different sized stripes heading in different directions. Finishing off the design is bold red detailing.
Additionally, adidas has added its latest technical innovations to the kit, including technology to keep the wearer feeling cool, dry and confident. The replica versions of the shirt will feature a similar technology to help players feel comfortable in the kit.
The Manchester United 2020/21 third kit is available now from the adidas web store, and will receive a wider release on September 15.
